In textile industry, quality is the most important component.
Hence, maintaining quality control in textile is of supreme priority at Akel. To us, it’s always “Quality first”.
We follow some basic aspects of Quality at Akel.
- Performance: This refers to the exact attribute of the raw material or its desired satisfaction point for the customer.
- Reliability: This is defined as specific features or functions of a product and its dependability over a period of time.
- Durability: We define the durability of our products as its assurance of how long it will be usable for our customers.
We carry out quality control checks:
- Before manufacture to ensure the fabric has no faults or misprints.
- During manufacture to ensure seams are sewn straight, and the stitching is even in length and immaculate.
- After manufacture to ensure components are sewn on straight, strong, and flawlessly.
Although quality control checks can increase waste, with defective products being thrown away, we have developed a reputation for being reliably high in quality, with reduced wastage, and where money is saved in the long run and products reordered repeatedly by our customers.
We measure our quality control a fabric’s quality as well as the various production components such as:
- Selection of raw materials
- Fiber manufacturing
- Yarn manufacturing
- Fabric construction
- Dye and coloration
- Printing and designs
- Other embellishments
